When braiding on natural hair, you always want to be extremely gentle with your hair. If you are not careful with your hair, that will reflect in the health of your hair. Too much rough handling on your tresses will result in split damaged ends and hair loss which in the long run stunt the growth of your hair.

Wearing a protective style like this Cornrow French Braids with Weave is great in retaining length but if you always comb aggressively or handle your hair in a rough manner, many of your hair saving methods will go to waste.

Also, remember when that you do cornrows/french braids you can make your braid or your twists as long in length as you want. The ultimate look of a style is to your discretion.

This is step 2 of the cornrow French braids with weave end this that I will show you in detail step-by-step how to actually braid your own cornrows first I will show you how to your hair and prepare your hair for your brain next I'll show you how to position your hands on the we and then I'll show you the braiding technique to achieve those flawless cornrow braids so first off we are going to part our hair and use gel to prepare our hair or our cornrow French braids before we begin braiding our hair you first want to prepare your hair for the cornrow braids first off your hair must be moisturized the reason why is because if you use gel on your hair and your hair is dry and un moisturized that you will possibly late in the style will not look is great as it could the way that I moisturizing my hair is that I wash condition and then I sealed the moisture in my hair with hair oils such as olive so once your hair has been moisturized you are just going to take the comb your most comfortable with using it to part your hair now the type of comb that i am using is called a rat tail comb because the bottom of the comb has a pointy end I will be using the end of my comb to part my hair so that have to use so that I don’t have to use that many teeth to actually my I will be demonstrating on the right side of my head and what you are going to do this part a part that goes from your hairline and part my way to the back of your head you want to make sure that the part is that even as possible and decided I will be parting my hair will probably be in between half and inch to 1 inch in size so is going to take the end of my comb start at the beginning of the hair and part my way to the bank so once you've made your part you just for your hair to the side edges check to see if the part is even as possible all the way around your head so that you make your part just to keep the rest of your hair out of the way you can use hair clips or bobby pins to do so once you have done that you are going to detangle through your hair and apply your hair gel next I'm going to show you how to position your hands on your weave to begin doing your first cornrow braid so now that you have prepared your hair for your cornrow extensions I will show you how to position your hands with your we so here in my hands I have one bundle of synthetic braiding hair and this bundle comes pretty long in size if you would like braids that stop above your shoulders I suggest that you cut this bundle in half but I'll leave the length long so that it goes past my shoulders at the bottom you have a rubber band piece on the hair and then you also have another rubber band piece at the top of the bundle what you will be doing is removing these rubber bands and pinching off a piece of hair that you will need for your first braid so from the bottom I'm just going to slide his rubber band off and then I will cut off the rubber band from the top of the bundle so once you do that you can pinch an amount of hair that you would like to you some just going to take a pretty nice size pinch here and separate it from the bundle i am just going to take a little bit and how this is the hair that we will be concentrating on because this is the hair you will use for your cornrow French braids so for the first cornrow braid the same technique will apply as you position your hands to braid your hair so just imagine that this piece of hair I have here is divided into 3 equal parts you want to pinch off a third of this hair from the rest of the hair so once you do that just pull them apart and now you have two separate pieces in my right hand is the hair that was a third of what I originally had in my left hand is the hair that was two thirds of what I originally so the next thing to do is take that smaller piece of hair and wrap it around the bigger piece of hair and meet those 2 ends together again so with this small piece of going to take it and wrap it around his bigger piece and I'm to bring the ends together again so once you do that now you have 3 equal pieces and I'm going to show you once more how I do that someone to take that apart and you want to make sure you divide the hair into 2 in one hand should be a 3rd of what she originally started with and in the other hand should be two thirds of which originally started so you can grab small piece of hair and wrap it around this bigger piece to bring the smaller piece together again this is my bigger piece an I am going to wrap my small piece around it to bring the 2 pieces back so here you have your 3 separate pieces of hair now to keep a separate you want to make sure that you position your hands well so that when you start braiding it's going to be an easy process for you so what you want to do is grab the 3 main fingers of your right hand if you are dominant with your left hand you want to use your left hand is as I'm done with my right hand I'm going to take the 3 main fingers my thumb index and middle finger and I want to hold this hair in my hand some just don't get that a little bit close as close to this point as possible I'm going to position my hands there just like that so nominates the you do is you take your left hand and you can insert your index finger into the middle of this extension piece so I am going to insert a pair and on the left side of it I have my middle finger and on the right side of it I have my thumb so I am just going to close around their and then you flip your hand around and just rest all the hair in your hand like that so once again to show you I did so here I have the pieces that I have already put together this side was that small piece in this I was a bigger piece was assigned wrap a small piece around the bigger piece it may in equal 3rd of a part so each part is about an equal amounts here so with my right hand my 3 main fingers I'm going to hold this hair like so as close to this point as possible then I am going to take my left hand inside my index finger into the opening of this hair with my middle finger on the outside and my thumb on the outside and I'm going to close my fingers and just turned around to show you that you just going to rest the hair in your hands so now once you are at that point the next thing you going to do this part is extremely simple you are going to turn your right hand underneath take your index finger and put it through the opening of that hair and then you, hold your index finger in your thumb on that bottom part so once you do this you will then only hold your hair with one hand once again going to show you how I did going to go back to originally was with my hair position so once you have the hair in your hand you take your right hand turn it underneath your extensions and with this opening here you can insert your index finger and then you can hold that hair on the bottom between your index in your and release your hand so this is the final position your hand needs to be when you start braiding once you start braiding you are going to feed your first piece of hair in between your 3 fingers here so now once you begin braiding your hair you going to make sure that the weave is very snug against the back of your fingers and you are going to open up your index finger and your thumb to feed the hair into your braid so this is where the hair will feed when you are braiding your extension so now you start off on our hair and to make sure that I am very close to my hairline I'm going to pinch a little bit of hair off from the beginning of my part to start with so instead of grabbing just a random pieces of hair I'm going to section off a little piece to make sure it's very snug to my hairline now once you do that you to make sure the hair's i snug to your fingers bring your fingers up to your hair and you are going to open up your index finger and your thumb and grab your first piece of hair so once I grab that I just pull the extensions just a little bit to make sure it snug against my fingers so now with my free hand I'm going to reach over my head and I want to grab the hair that is resting on top of my making sure also to keep the rest of your finger snug you are going to take your 3 main fingers grab the hair up top once you grab the hair you are going to bring it to this I like that and then you can twist your right hand to the right so once I do that it can opens up a little space right there so once this happens take your left hand of your index finger insert it through the opening and hope the bottom piece of that hair so once I do that I can then release my right hand and now my left hand is holding the hair now you going to do the same thing once again now with your right hand to take my right hand in my 3 main fingers and I want to grab that piece of hair that is on top of my fingers the hair that's hanging alone grab that position in my hands and then I am going to bring it to the side and also twist my left hand the once I twist my left hand it creates a little space there and I'm going to take the index finger of my right hand hook it to the bottom piece of that hair and add it to that hand so now the top piece is free and so is my left hand so once again grab the hair make sure it’s pretty snug bring it to the side and also twist your other hand to create opening in the hair and when you the hair as you know if you're getting closer to the rest of your hair you are going hook the hair and also grab a little bit of your real just a little bit and let go right hand with you 3 fingers grab a piece on the outside bring it over twist your hand inserted through the opening and then when you insert it through the opening also grab a little piece of hair and now my left hand is free you will all go all the once again going to show you the braiding process you will be feeding your hair through your index finger in your time make sure to keep the hair very snug on your fingers so now you're just going to take a little bit of the hair and separate it from the rest to start off with because you want your hair as close to your hairline as possible so this is the amount of hair I am going to start with so now when you're going to do is open your inde and your thumb and grab the hair by her hairline so once you do that the hair that is on top grab it bring it around and twist your hand and your thing once you create the opening take your finger looking at the bottom part of the hair and had to your other hand so now you're right hand is free the hair that is on the outside take your 3 fingers grab the hair twirl your left hand take your index finger for the middle and grab the hair every time you turn your hand and you take your index finger to hook it onto the bottom hair you will also grab some of your hair as well so now the left hand grab the hair up top bring it around twirl the right hand take your index finger and when you hooking through grab a little bit of your hair so now that I have taught you the braiding technique continue this until you mastered it you will do the same over your entire hand until all of your hair is bring in the next step, step 3 I will begin to you tips and advice for braiding your cornrow French braids with weave
