Hello everyone this is Breanna Rutter author of the books the natural hair Bible and founder of howtoblackhair.com and for the style I will be teaching you how to do ghana braids on your very own hair Ghana braids are also commonly referred to as banana braids but Ghana braids are also vastly different from a very popular style called cornrow braids the difference between cornrow braid extensions and Ghana braid extensions is that going to braids have more of a natural appearance you start off by using a small amount of extension hair to weave into your real hair and then it begins to increase in size is you add more braiding hair with cornrow braids it's very easy to see a small lump at the beginning of your braids and then the size of the brain is consistent from beginning to and so a lot of people refer to Ghana braids as the natural cornrow braids when really you start off with extension hair but this is a very small amount so that the progression of the braid looks a lot more natural all the materials that you will need to do Ghana braids will be six packages or bundles of synthetic braiding hair you will also need a rat tail comb for parting your hair a wide tooth comb for detangling your hair you will also need duckbill clips to keep your hair sectioned you will need hair gel to keep your hair slick when needed and you will also need hair oil to add extra lubrication to your strands and you will need hair cutting scissors to trim off the flyaway or ends to cut off from your extensions so once you have all of your supplies and materials ready in the next that step number two I will show you how to do Ghana braids on your own hair step-by-step
