In this step of the Lace Closure Sew In Tutorial, Breanna Rutter will teach you step by step how to add large curls to your sew in install! Curling in large sections gives you loose curls and with long lengths of hair, it gives an amazing beautiful look for those who love modest hairstyles. For longer lasting curls, hair spray the extensions first, add curls, and then add hair spray again before finger raking through your curls. Because the hair used is real virgin hair, you have to use heat protectant and no temperature over 350 degrees to prevent the hair from becoming heat damaged.

Here we are in step number five of the lace closure sewin tutorial in this step I'll be teaching you how to achieve beach curls with Mrs. Rutter's hair extensions to prepare your hair for styling there's two things you want to do first you want to protect your hair with a heat protectant this will allow you to go back and forth from straightening your hair to also wearing the hair in its natural curl pattern without losing the curl pattern due to heat damage that's what the heat protectant is for now secondly you want to lightly spray your hair with hairspray this will help you to get a wear out of your curls that you decide to wear with your hair and you can also lightly spray with hair spray afterwards as well to help you with holding your style now at this point once you've done that with your hair which I've already done you want go ahead and divide your hair into three sections you want a section on the right a section on the left and a section in the back use hair clips to keep your hair sectioned once you do that I'm going to show you how to do a beach curl by demonstrating on the right side of my head with a small section of hair doing this curl is very easy take your comb you want to make sure to free any tangles or small knots that may be in your hair so just comb straight through and then what you're going to do is take your barrel curling iron now to get those wide curls you want to use a curling iron that's wide so what you want to do is go ahead and grab your curling iron and then when you insert your hair you want to make sure that your hair folds going outward so as I insert my hair into the curling iron my hair should come out of the curling iron so that way your curls are away from your face so as you can see as soon as I close the curling iron my hair goes up and out now at this point want to go ahead and roll your curling iron down and then continue to wrap the hair around so that you can curl it when curling your hair its always best to work midshaft so that way your hair is warm and consistent throughout you don't want to start off with heat being concentrated at the ends because the ends of your extension are the oldest part of your hair this is virgin hair extensions so this hair will act just like anyone's real hair would you don't want to concentrate heat on the ends so after you finish rolling your hair up you want to be about an inch or two away from you scalp away from your closure and you want to hold it for about 10 seconds after that you are going to let the curl drop and just hang down loosely now if you want the curl to be even tighter when it drops down just take your finger insert it through and then hold it up and pin it like a pin curl so as you can see this is the result of the curl for example if you do is throughout your whole head so as I stated before all you have to do is insert your finger up through if you want to curls to last and you're not so ready-to-wear your style yet you want to just lift the curl up roll it all way up in your hand and then you want to take a pin for you want to take your duckbill clip and you want to position it flat against your head so that way when you're actually ready to go out with your hair you can take all your pins out and you can drop your curl so this is an example of how you are going to do all of your curls on your head for your beach curls look so I am going to go ahead and work section my section small amounts ahead of time and continue same technique once you finish curling all of your hair go ahead and lightly spray your entire head with hairspray and they rake your fingers through to complete the look in the very next step, step number six I will show you the final look to the lace closure sew in hair style
