How Long Does It Take To Do Box Braids?

Breanna Rutter

SJ asked this question because he wants to help his girlfriend do her braids for the first time so I hope this video helps you both!

1st Answer: Size and length of braids dramatically changes how long it takes you.

Anywhere from 4-8 hrs to do single braids (box braids) is normal.

2nd Answer: If you are a beginner, it can take you anywhere from 8-10 hours to do your own box braids. Overtime you get faster and your braids will look more neat and consistent in size and shape.

3rd Answer: If you are curious to know what kind of braiding hair to use for box braids, I use about 6-7 packs of Kanekalon Braiding hair along with other materials to do my braids.
