Hello everyone this is Breanna Rutter author of one of my most popular books the natural hair Bible and founder of howtoblackhair.com for these videos I answer the questions that you all send me via email of you have any questions that you would like for me to answer check out the description box below for more information this video is because of an email I received from Juliet and Juliet says when doing a hot oil treatment is she supposed to rinse with cold water so she just doesn't understand what to do to get the oil off of her hair without leaving behind too much oils so I am going to give her some tips to take her to process so first thing first when you're doing a hot oil treatment make sure to use cold pressed oils and also your treatment for about 5 to 15 minutes that’s definitely enough time for the oil to absorb into your hair and into your scalp the reason why you have to use cold pressed oils is because they been extracted from the player see in a way that allows them to be very penetrating into your skin and into your hair a second thing you want to do is you want to rush your hair with warm water for about five minutes rinsing about for this long allows for the oil to travel down from your hair all the way there to the ends and also to wash out any excess oil this now side of your hair and then the last thing that you are going to do is rinse your hair with cool water now you can rinse with the coolest water that you stand or just make sure that the waters a little bit cooler than normal and then rinse your hair by first rinsing it with warm water of course its going to make sure you're not leaving behind too much oil on your hair and then when you rinse with cool water that is trapping the rest of the oil onto the outside of your hair while also closing your cuticles the cuticles on the outside of your hair shaft lift and raise depending on the temperature and also a chemical processing done your hair so when you're rinse your hair with cold water is going to make the cuticles the outside of your hair lay down very flatly which eliminates frizz which also makes you look very smooth and shiny so that's you tips for making sure to go through this process a little bit more easier and it was very simple so now when doing I will treatment you will have too much of an oily your greasy hair afterwords and then plus you can actually get the results that you want so I hope this is help you and also has helped everyone else was watching this video as well any of you have any more questions or comments be sure to let me know before you go signing to my email list so that way you can be automatically entered for giveaways that I do and only their update you are with exclusive content so until then I'll see all of you in my very next video
