VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

Hello everyone this is Breanna Rutter author of one of my most popular books the natural hair Bible and founder of howtoblackhair.com and for these videos I love to answer the questions you all send me via email so any of you have any questions you would like for me to answer check out the description box below for additional information so I got to get right on into the video this video is because of a question I received from Asia, Asia emailed me because she says that she's transitioning with her hair she know that she needs a protein treatment but it's very hard to figure out what products you need or what she should be looking for to help treat her hair as such so what I'm going to do is just use and things of some tips that you want to keep in mind when choosing a product to help with your hair or some things you can help to make sure to balance your hair more with protein so the very first day that I'm going to suggest is that when you are searching for a product you want to make sure that whatever product you're using your only applying it to your relaxed hair now depending on the health of your natural hair and your relaxed hair its probably a good idea to apply to both textures but in most cases natural hair doesn't need more added protein but relaxed hair usually does so what you want to do is for whatever product you are going to be using for your hair is that you only apply the protein treatment to your relaxed hair to minimize the breakage that you are experiencing or the damage that you're experiencing this is going to eliminate the problems that a lot of people have been transitioning when they say that they relaxed and has fallen off is because you have to make sure that you do still keep up the protein treatments and only on the relaxed hair so that way you're not losing the hair as you're trying to transition so the very next of that I'm going to suggest is that if you need a very intense protein treatment you're really suffering from damage or breakage there is three quality materials or ingredients you have to look for when choosing a protein product number one is neither hydrolyzed protein two is keratin protein or three is wheat protein that all do the same things for your hair but the more intense of ingredients will be hydrolyzed protein because it's going to penetrate your hair deeper the molecules are broken down are broken now more smaller so instead of the protein binding on the outside of your hair is actually going inside of your hair and giving your repairs internally instead of structuring your hair on the outside is doing so on the inside and the same thing those also for wheat protein and keratin protein but those structures around the outside of your hair to keep breaking and being damaged so when you are looking for protein product let one of those three or all three be one of the first ingredients that you see on your protein treatment on its label the very last thing I'm going to suggest if you feel like you don't really need an intensive protein treatment you just need a mild one is to make one at home you can use milk and egg or milk and egg that help treat your hair all you have to do is use one or two eggs depending on how much areata tree and just a little splash of milk and you want to start up with a whisk or a fork and apply that to the ends of your hair that's how you can do a mild protein treatment at home with products that you can just buy from a local grocery store so those are all the tips that you want to incorporate if you're either looking for product to protein treat your hair or you want something more of the home a natural remedy that you can use to treat your hair as well and I'm quite sure is that repair any damage or any breakage that you may be experiencing so even though I know transitioning can be a headache sometimes is hang in there and it's good that you knew exactly what you needed to do in life thanks for emailing me to give you further help on exactly what to do so thank you and thank you all for watching this video is well and of course if you want any more information on anything I've mentioned in this video check out the description box more and until then I'll see you all in my very next
