VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

Hello everyone this is Breanna Rutter author of the book the natural hair Bible and founder of Howtoblackhair.com for the special videos I love to answer the questions that you all send me via email so if you have any questions that you would like for me to answer for you be sure to check out the description box below for additional information so without further ado we are going to be talking about the topic of my hair destiny sent me an email message and she asked me just out of pure curiosity how often do you do your hair and this question was about due to be answered because a lot of you do ask me how often do you do your hair and I want to constantly say the same thing over and over again so I thought the best way to do it was to address it in one video altogether so I am going to tell you the different types of styles that like to wear and how long I like to keep them in and just give you some suggestions and how long to keep your styles in as well so my favorite style that I like to wear are sew ins one of my favorites hairstyles and when I wear sew in hairstyles I usually keep them in for about a week to three weeks so typically speaking I usually keep them in for about a week because sometimes I just want something different so it doesn't even last the whole three weeks because it’s like ooh now I want to put Senegalese twists in my hair so I end up taking them down either a week the two week or the three week mark but when you do have your extensions and you want to make sure that you keep your real hair kept and clean as well as your extensions so if you are going to keep it for an extended amount of time Pat point that you would normally wash her hair and condition your hair then I suggest that you use diluted shampoo to reach your braids wash her hair gently to cleanse your hair of any build up and debris so typically speaking depending my mood I keep my sew ins than anywhere from about a week to three weeks now braids and twist extensions another style that I really like to where are box braids and when I wear my box braids as well as my Senegalese twist and my patra braids I like to keep them in anywhere from about three weeks to 6 weeks and 6 weeks is really pushing it because after much has been a little bit raspy a little bit this that plus I just want to take it down and change it anyway so the reason why the shortest amount of time that I keep my individual braids in is 3 weeks is because the bigger the braids are the faster it will be to take them down because since you don't have small concentrated amounts of hair wound within twist and break it won't last as long as the way it does last longer than braids that are braiding a lot more bigger so patra braids will always be ready to take down a lot sooner than box braids because of their size so when I have patra braids in three weeks is right about that that moment when I take them down and then when I am wearing Senegalese twists and box braids I leave those in for longer usually up to the point of about six weeks and you still want to take care of your hair so if you religiously wash your hair every week or two weeks dilute all of your products and go through the same regimen of shampooing conditioning deep moisturizing or deep conditioning and sealing in with oil to keep your hair moisturized and supple so Destiny I hope answer them for you course and a lot of you ask me I though okay it's about that time I tell you all about how long I keep different styles in since you all ask so much and probably because I put out so many tutorials so I hope this helped Harry help us help you all is well to give you some guidance is way you can do with your hair and how long you want to keep your style and always check the description box more information on any styles that mentioned or any other days of talked about this video as well so send me a questions that you would like answered and see you all in my next video
